CSRHC to Host Wine-Themed “Liquid History” Event

The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is inviting guests to spend Friday evening stepping back into Oklahoma history—with a glass of wine in hand.
From 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 10, the Heritage Center will host Liquid History: Off the Vine, a special after-hours event focused on Oklahoma’s deep roots in grape growing and winemaking.
The event will take visitors through the Humphrey Heritage Village on guided group tours, where local wineries and historical interpreters will share stories about how wine production has been part of Oklahoma’s story since before statehood. Guests will be able to sample wines from Vernost Wine and Twisted and Tangled Winery along the way.
Snack pairings will also be available during the evening, provided by Watonga Cheese Factory and Lynch Family Farms.
Tours will begin at 6 p.m. and leave every 20 minutes throughout the evening. Each tour lasts a little more than an hour.
Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased online. Bottles of wine from Vernost and Twisted and Tangled will also be available for purchase separately through the wineries.
The event is limited to guests 21 and older, and a valid ID will be required at the door.
