Denecia, I’m unfortunately walking in your shoes right now. I have so much empathy for you and if I could hug you through this iPhone, I certainly would. What you say is true for many. I am thankful for this organization because I know that they also provide help for loved ones who have been displaced or facing a great hardship due to the actions and behaviors of an addict. They provide help to so many in this community that aren’t addicted and didn’t choose homelessness or poverty. Whether it be a house fire, illness, or injury, they help when help is not there from other sources. I pray you don’t lose faith. He may choose recovery if he faces natural consequences. Accountability will come to all in one form or another. It’s not a matter of if, but when. In the meantime, I sit still and try my best to be at peace knowing I’m not in the driver’s seat.

Not another one of these. My husband has been in the streets partly because it is free and he doesn't have to mow the lawn or support his household in any way. He can find beer going through the trash, donations from unsavey public. Free food, showers and 0 responsibility,. As the night falls, they pick a place to "party". He has been living in the streets 8 years. I've been married 10. The drugs in the community is so bad now, he has come home. I say keep praying for them. But stop the endless hand out. Forgotten ministry wouldn't let him come home one evening. I was there to take him home, and because they can't walk out once they are on campus. They told me, his wife, he told them he did not want to come home. He told me the next morning he never said that. I hate this community of control folks. Go home and build something. These folks choose to be where they are
