Velma Lee White received her angel wings on February 17th, 2018, at the age of 84. She was born November 19, 1933 in Thomas, Oklahoma to Orval and Lorene Showalter. She was the only girl of three children. They later moved to Garber, Oklahoma where she attended school. She really shined as the high school’s drum major and liked the drum line best. Velma met the love of her life, Richard Arlen White in Garber and the two married on April 20, 1950. They had two children Rick and Toni White. She loved her children and expressed that love in all the things she could make by hand. She was a devoted wife and an excellent homemaker. She was a friend to many and enjoyed bridge and golf.

She is survived by her daughter Toni White-Dallas and husband Rick both of Enid. She also leaves behind very special grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by parents Orval and Lorene Showalter, husband Richard Arlen White, brothers Dale and Dwayne Showalter, son Rick White and grandsons Adrian and Tristen White.

The funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery
