Update On Boy Who Nearly Drowned At Champlin

ENID, OK - 14-year-old Sebastian Arana nearly drowned at Champlin Pool on June 1, 2017. He was rescued after being found unresponsive in the water.

Arana's injuries were so severe that he was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas where he spent three weeks in the intensive care unit. He was then moved to the Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital in Bethany, Oklahoma where he spent three months.

Arana is now back in Enid recovering at home, but he still requires extensive care. A fundraiser has been planned to help his family with expenses.

The public is invited to be a part of the festivities this Saturday, December 2 at 3:00pm. Shebester Bechtel Inc. hosting the event at Moose Lodge Enid, 302 E. Purdue.
