There’s more stuff to do in Enid this weekend!!
For a great lunch, stop by the United Way Chili Cook-Off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Cherokee Strip Conference Center! Admission is $5.00.
Dozens of groups will be cooking to see who makes the best darn chili. The theme this year is “Wonders of the World.” This years goal is to raise $755,000, about $5,000 higher than the 2010 goal.
Saturday, Oct. 22nd — Pet Costume Contest
Location: Christ United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch, 2418 W. Randolph, Enid.
Bring your pet in costume for a “howling” good time or just take in the sights! Registration is at 2 p.m. with judging at 2:30 p.m. Prizes awarded based on cuteness & creativity for best small dog, best large dog & best cat or other critter. Costumes should be both fun & safe for your pet. Pets must be on a leash and owners are responsible for maintaining control of their pet while in the pumpkin patch. Registration is free.
Paws 4 the Cause Dachshund Dash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center.
This event will feature a fun four legged dog race along with vendors, live entertainment and a dog talent contest.
Activities will begin at 10 a.m. with KNID hosting the first Enid Dogs Got Talent pet contest. The pet contest is open to all breeds, and awards will be granted in three categories: celebrity look-alike; best pet trick; best costume. Entry in the pet talent contest is free with admission.
Admission cost for the Dachshund Dash is $2 for adults, $1 for children and $1 for non-racing dogs.
Waverley Historic District Walking Ghost Tours will run tonight at 6pm, 7pm and 9pm.
Tours begin in the backyard garden at 1102 W. Oklahoma. Tickets are available for a donation of $10 per person and can be purchased at the tour.
The guided walking tour will stop at five homes in Waverley Historic District, where the homeowners will share their ghost stories. The tour guide will also tell additional ghost stories from the neighborhood. Attendees will need flashlights and comfortable shoes as it will be dark and there are some uneven sidewalks.

Hours are 7pm to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday night. Dates and times are subject to change. The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under.
