Quicker than many believed, the Oakwood Country Club has been closed, bulldozed, moved to a temp location, rebuilt and now reopened. The new club is much smaller in square footage but much larger in grandeur. The high ceilings, tile floors and dark wood show off a much more sophisticated look than before. Oakwood is now ready host elegant weddings, grand balls and everyday meetings.
Oakwood Country Club has been a great asset to Enid due to its first class golf course and its banquet facilities. It is now a facility worth showing off to any business interested in moving to Enid. A modern clubhouse will be an added attraction to luring professionals from other larger cities.
Oakwood has not only upgraded its clubhouse but has also just completed a resurfacing of its indoor and outdoor tennis courts, all funded by club members. The tennis aspect of Oakwood draws tennis tournaments and also national recognition with the outstanding tennis players it produces.
Stop by Oakwood this Friday, May 21st at 1:00 p.m. for the official ribbon cutting. Take a tour from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and find out why Oakwood is now one of Oklahoma’s finest country clubs.
