ENID, OK – City of Enid Park and Recreation officials announced today both splash pads will be operating seven days a week.
–
The splash pads will operate from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm each day. For those new to the Enid community, the Hoover Splash Pad is located at 3000 West Oklahoma Avenue and the Champion Park Splash Pad located at 10th and East Chestnut Street.
–
City Manager Jerald Gilbert said, “with triple-digit heat in the forecast, we decided it was best to have both splash pads operational and open to our citizens seven days a week.” Gilbert added, “what better way to beat the heat with a dip in our pool or visiting our splash pads.”
–
Splash pads are free to use and open to the public. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The water released in the splash pads is fresh water, they do not use recirculated water.
