Good oral health can improve the severity of many diseases

-
People everywhere should know the importance of looking after their teeth and gums. A professional dental cleaning at least twice a year can improve your oral health, and save you money in the long run by preventing further tooth decay or oral health problems.
-
It is also known that more than 120 diseases, including diabetes, HIV, psoriasis, leukemia and systemic lupus, can have oral symptoms. Good oral health can improve the severity of these diseases.
-
Local dentist, Dr. Elizabeth Chaloupek, recommends that a dentist or hygienist perform a dental cleaning every three to six months to stay on top of any developing dental problems.
-
Healthy teeth and gums typically do not cause soreness after a cleaning. If you continue to make regular visits your discomfort will decrease and should eventually disappear.
