The Evans Pharmacy on Willow is a full-service store and can meet any medical need. Evans Pharmacy, celebrated its 110th birthday in 2007.
Jim Evans is the third generation of the business, which started with his grandfather Sam and Sam’s two brothers, Charlie and Nate. Sam Evans obtained a pharmacy degree in Chicago and made the Cherokee Strip Land Run. In 1897, he opened Evans Cut Rite Drugs, next to the Garfield County Land Office, along with his two brothers. Charlie Evans later obtained a pharmacy license and went to Springfield, Mo., to operate a pharmacy that Sam Evans owned there.
