Oklahoma Flying Aces Home Opener

-
ENID, OK - The Oklahoma Flying Aces are now officially an Enid team after their home opener on Saturday night at the Stride Bank Center. A great crowd filled the arena for Enid's first indoor football game since the Oklahoma Crude folded in 2004.
-
The Wichita Force came to Enid and left with a hard fought victory over the Flying Aces 42-32. Wichita improves their record to 1-2 while the Flying Aces drop to 0-2.
-
The Oklahoma fans saw their team on the field for the first time and were very enthusiastic as the Flying Aces took the lead after being down 10-0. The evening was full of fast paced indoor football, loud music, a great drill team and many giveaways thrown into the crowd.
-
Tom Nelson called the plays as the teams raced back and forth on the 50-yard indoor field. The games move faster than outdoor football and have no punts. Each team only fields eight players at one time. Teams can have up to 24 players on the roster.
-
Team coaches are allowed on the field and follow the game and call plays from the padded walls. The game is played in four quarters, 15 minutes each. The ball is kicked off from any point along the goal line.
-
The next home game will be on Saturday, May 4 against the Omaha Beef. Tickets can be purchased at StrideBankCenter.com. Games can be seen online at Pluto.TV.
