ENID, OK – NOVEMBER 17, 2017 – In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the City of Enid Administration offices, Enid Public Library, and Recycle Center will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24.
City of Enid officials announced today that the Thursday trash route will not be collected on November 23; however, Thursday’s route will be picked up on Wednesday, November 22. Friday’s trash route will be picked up on Friday as usual.
The landfill will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and will be opened on Friday, November 24 with operating hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Meadowlake Golf Course will be closed Thursday, November 23rd and will be opened on Friday, November 24 with operating hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Officials stated Enid Public Transportation Authority (EPTA) will not be operating on Thursday, November 23 or Friday, November 24 in observance of the holiday.

ENID, OK (March 27, 2013) –
Enid Police to Address Truck Route Violators. Due to an increase of truck traffic on non- designated truck routes, the Enid Police Department will step up efforts immediately to address violators.
According to Enid Chief of Police Brian O’Rourke, “We have to protect our infrastructure. Damage to our infrastructure due to increase truck traffic is not acceptable. We have a policy of no- tolerance when it comes to truck route violators.
Enid Police officials have noticed an increase of truck traffic due to increase work activity in the area. Chief O’Rourke added, “We work closely with the OHP and may call upon the size and weights division to assist in our efforts.”
