Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center - NOTICE: Due to construction of a museum addition they are closed until Fall 2010. There is some temporary museum information and items at the Oakwood Mall. 507 S. 4th Free Admission- donations accepted Monday – Friday 9a.m. to 5p.m., Saturdays 10a.m. – 6a.m. Closed Sundays. 580-237-1907 The village includes an elaborate Victorian style house called "The Glidewell Home. On the grounds you will find the original land office where pioneers lined up to file their claims after the great land run of 1893. You can also tour Enid’s oldest church and an original one-room schoolhouse. The Village is open for tours only through reservations and for groups of 10 or more. The Midgley Museum (often called "The Rock House") - 1001 Sequoyah The Midgley Museum is housed in a 1947 house constructed with over 30 kinds of rock. This very unusual museum features an eclectic assortment of objects and artifacts collected over a lifetime of rock collecting by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Midgley. Gem and mineral enthusiasts will enjoy the display of many objects and the gift shop. It is operated by the Northwest Oklahoma Masonic Lodges. The Museum is open Fridays from 1:00 until 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 2:00 until 4:30 p.m. or by appointment. Free admission. 580-234-7265.
Railroad Museum - 702 N. Washington. Admission by donation Tuesday-Friday, 1-4 pm . Saturday, 9 am. to 1 pm Sunday, 2-5 pm., and by appointment 580-233-3051 If trains fascinate you or you'd like to give your children a real look at history, you will enjoy the Railroad Museum of Oklahoma. Within the museum compound, there are eight cabooses from railroads that have served Enid, a baggage car, motor cars, a three-dome tank car, a 50-ton engine, a Champlin tank car, a Frisco 1519 Steam Engine, a Frisco boxcar and hopper car. New additions to the museum include an Amtrak lounge car, two flat cars and three other boxcars. The model railroad room includes HO-gauge, N-gauge, and Lionel layouts. Over 900 pieces of railroad dining car china plus an array of railroad memorabilia is also on display

Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse & Adventure Quest 200 E. Maple $6 per person/Children under 2 are free 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday, 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday. The Discovery Warehouse is an old red brick grocery warehouse that has been converted into a hands-on art and science museum for the whole family. Exhibits include an Art Studio, Carpentry Shop, Music Lab, Fossil Discovery Center, Puppet Theatre, Animal Room (come visit our resident critters!), Black Light Maze, Fire Safety Center, Space Shuttle, Grocery Area, and a collection NASA memorabilia from Owen K. Garriott, the museum’s founder. Our outdoor area, Adventure Quest, is the world’s largest community-built playground/science park. Adventure Quest is an outdoor science and learning center across the street from The Discovery Warehouse. Starting after Memorial Day, Adventure Quest is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 5 to 8 p.m. for "Twilight Time". Bill Humphrey Baseball Museum - located near the main entrance on the mezzanine level of the David Allen Memorial Ballpark, 301 S. Grand, downtown Enid. (580) 548-0396, Lots of items from Enid's rich baseball history. A special case features memorabilia from the Enid Majors' 2005 American Legion World Series championship in Rapid City, SD.
Skeleton Creek Productions & Simpson's Old Time Museum 228 E Randolph 580-234-4998 8 am - 5 pm Mon thru Sat Free Admission (donations are welcome) Simpson Mercantile ceased in early 2006 and became Skeleton Creek Productions and Simpson's Old Time Museum. The brothers also needed a location to film their adventures, so they constructed a saloon, boardwalk, hotel lobby and room, jail and marshall office and other business fronts in the 90,000 sq foot building. They are planning to add a 100 seat church/school house, general store and bank. If you have several hours to spare, they offer tours at no charge.
