A rare Soviet two-seater jet cockpit is the centerpiece of a special exhibit that includes ejection seats and an interactive MiG-21 technology station. Mostly made as a single-seater, the cockpit on display is the rare two-seater version and is the only one in the U.S. with the inside of the cockpit on public display. This is a temporary display that will only be available for a few months.

This Warsaw Pact MiG-21 served in the Polish Air Force from 1981 to 1998 during which time it trained pilots to fight against NATO, then to fly against the Soviet Union as the communists tried to intimidate Poland not to leave the Warsaw Pact, then it trained Polish pilots to fly with NATO. It was flown at the height of the Cold War by the 11th Fighter Regiment which once had as its commander famed Cosmonaut and MiG-21 pilot Miroslaw Hermaszewski.

The Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park was established in 2000 to honor past and present service members. The park has grown from two living walls to eight walls honoring yesterday and today's warriors. Over the years they've added a pavilion, vintage nose art, a garden of remembrance with pieces of the Murrah Building and in 2013 an 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall which was later named, the official Vietnam War Monument for the State of Oklahoma.
-
Recently, organizers of the park have established an educational center to preserve their collection of war memorabilia. The ML Becker Learning Center now showcases the historic collection of military memorabilia they have collected over the years. It includes the USS Hornet depicting Doolittle's raid over Tokoyo, a 9 ft. replica of the USS Arizona sunk at Pearl harbor and more than 30 vintage aircraft replicas with wing spans of more than 10 ft. The collection was donated by Kenny Marshall of Nescatunga, OK.

Educational material is already online for school teachers prep prior to tours and the center hopes to fund grants to schools for transportation to the park. This park will be a legacy of learning which will be left for future generations and will remain free to the public!

The Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park hosts annual services on both Memorial Day and Veterans Day along with several fun activities such as a 5K/Half marathon run and a fall car show. Organizers plan to increase programs and activities with the completion of this educational center to include free movies in the park, small military reunions, weddings, etc.
