Mary received Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age and she had a deep passion for sharing His love to everyone she met. She was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Covington where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer of the Church, and was a member of the LWML. Mary worked with the Project Philip Bible Correspondence Ministry for several years and always made sure to deliver devotional booklets to individuals in the nursing homes and community that were in need. She was a member of the Hopewell Extension Service Homemakers Group of Douglas.
-
Mary’s legacy of love and dedication to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be what she is remembered most for along with an open house for cookies and coffee at anytime of the day. She had the most gentle and loving spirit and everyone felt like they were the most important person to her.
