James Franklin Gibson

On June 4, 2018 James F. Gibson left us to go among the stars and be with his keeper. His funeral will be 10:00AM Thursday, June 7, 2018 in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel.. Revs. Mark Vaughn, and John Vaughn will officiate. Burial will follow Cimmaron Valley under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

James was born December 1939 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Paul and Ethel (Young) Gibson. On September 19, 2003 he married Norma Wheeler in Enid where the couple made their home. James worked at the Enid State School as an aide for over 25 years. He was also a crossing guard at Longfellow for many years. He was a member of Assembly of God but had been attending House of Prayer for several years.

He enjoyed caring for his many goats, feeding the ducks in the park, watching wrestling, and people watching.

He is survived by his wife Norma of the home, two sons, Paul Gibson and David Gibson, and a daughter Mary Lou Webb. Four step-sons, three grandchildren, James, Misty, and Emily. One great-grandson Andrew, one sister, Utha May Morris and husband Lee of Amarillo, TX. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sweet grandparents who raised him.
