Doug Frantz Closing The Frantz Agency

ENID, OK - Doug Frantz is closing down the Frantz Agency effective June 2, 2017. Frantz's grandfather started the Frantz Insurance Agency shortly after he returned from WWI which would have been in the early 1920’s. His uncle Harry Frantz and father Bob Frantz joined the agency after WWII.

Doug Frantz joined the agency after the Vietnam War and his cousin Steve Frantz joined the group the 1970’s. After decades of business in Enid, the Frantz Agency eventually sold out the fire and casualty business to the Bowers Insurance Agency leaving Doug the only family member left in the business.

The Frantz family was part of the Cherokee Strip Land Run in 1893 and claimed land in the area of downtown Enid. Frank Frantz, a great-great-great uncle, served as the final Territorial Governor of Oklahoma.

The Frantz Agency is currently located in Central National Bank at 324 W. Broadway.
