Funeral services celebrating the life of Frances Lee Stanley-Whiteman of Lahoma 96, will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Campbell of the First Baptist Church of Lahoma officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno. Visitation with the family present will be Friday, January 11, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frances was born May 10, 1922 in May, Oklahoma to Oscar and Jessie Barrett Stanley and went to be with her loving Savior December 30, 2018 after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family.

Frances is survived by five children: Laura Darlene Russell of Greensboro, NC, Linda Caroline Whiteman of Oklahoma City, OK, Debra Renee Crane and husband, Mike of Lahoma, Nathan Lynn Whiteman of Lahoma, Kevin Neal Whiteman and partner, Allen Nottingham of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Jay warren and wife, Cat of Houston, TX, Brittany Nicole Holman and husband, Chris of Nocona, TX, Taylor Wayne Whiteman and wife, Kayla of Tulsa; four great grandchildren, Breanna Mae, 12, Jillie Anna, 9, Matthew Neal, 7, Alexandria Marie, 6; two sisters, Joyce Elaine Lozano of Everett, WA, Betty Lou Wilson of Soledad, CA; one brother, James Stanley of Glendale, AZ;

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Leo H. Whiteman; three brothers, two sisters, and her parents, Oscar and Jessie Stanley.

Frances L. Whiteman was married to Leo H. Whiteman, February 4, 1951. They started a military life of 22 years. Frances grew up in May and Woodward, Oklahoma. She was the eldest daughter of nine children. Frances’ passion was reading the Bible. She was one of the founding members of the First Baptist Church of Lahoma, which she was very active in. Frances loved teaching Sunday School to the children and did so for many many years. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed embroidering, visiting with friends and family alike. She touched many a childs life, as their babysitter and mentor. She was known as “Grandma” to many around her town of Lahoma. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends alike. Frances would always say, “It’s not love ‘til you give it away!” which she did everyday of her life.
