ENID, OK (December 1, 2010)

The City of Enid announces a request for proposals for architectural services regarding a new event center for the Enid Renaissance Programs. Those interested in the new venture are asked to respond to the RFP by December 8, 2010.

The Enid Renaissance Program includes the development of a new downtown convention and civic center, through the construction of a new event center that may include Convention Hall, Cherokee Strip Conference Center or both or neither.
The City of Enid is considering many options and avenues that would lead to a more profitable and inviting downtown while maintaining the integrity and sprit of the current downtown.

At this time, no decision has been made as to the future construction of the downtown. No plans will be finalized until request for proposals are submitted and reviewed.
