Most materials are durable, impacting student learning for a number of years. Spring funding will provide projects that include technology, math, reading and fine arts. Coolidge elementary received 14 grants totaling nearly $6,200, the most of any individual school site. Teacher Tina Green garnered the most grants with five, and Alexxis Wright was endowed with the top dollar amount, $1,972 for three separate projects. A special committee comprised of community members and former educators makes grant selections. School sites and teacher names are withheld, and awards are made based on innovation and impact on learning.

“Our teachers make this program special. They are continual learners—they bring new ideas and activities into EPS classrooms every day. This program is simply a funding source to put those ideas into practice. Teachers are the most critical component to student learning and success and the EPS Foundation is happy to support them through classroom grants that foster a high quality learning environment,” states Janna Jackson, Executive Director.

Teacher Grants would not be possible without the generosity of our Signature Grant Donors, who have made gifts of at least $10,000 to the EPS Foundation. For more information about this program or the EPS Foundation, contact Janna Jackson at foundation@enidk12.org.
