There was an “ice plant” that burned down in the mid 70′s, it was located across form “Rude Hardware”, but I don’t know if it was the one in the photograph.
There was also an ice house (not the one in the pic) on a corner of the 3-way intersection of Kenwood Blvd, Maple & Adams. It was directly across from the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home, and had big cement loading docks. My brothers worked there in high school & summers during college. We lived just up the street. I remember visiting as a little girl in the late 50s/early 60s, it was cold, and the tongs to move the ice blocks were scary. Then it went out of business.

There was also an ice plant downtown directly across (south) from what is now Leonardo’s.
Thanks for that info Keith!
Where was Rude Hardware? My mom asked me and I can’t remember.
East of Leonardos in the middle of the block, I think there is an oil field service retailer there now. (Also east of the church parking lot)
