Enid Convention and Visitors Bureau has new grant application forms ready
Groups and organizations seeking grant money from the Enid Convention and Visitors Bureau may now request revised grant forms from the ECVB office at the Cherokee Strip Conference Center, 123 W. Maine.
“We encourage organizations to apply for grant money to help fund events or projects that will bring visitors from outside Enid into our community,” ECVB director Marcy Jarrett said. “We look forward to helping groups promote their event or project.”
All requests for grant funds should be submitted on the official application at least five months prior to the date of the event or project. The application will be reviewed by ECVB staff and the ECVB advisory board. If approved, the entity will receive 60 percent of the requested amount at the beginning of the process.
All organizations approved for grant funds must submit a Post Event Report form within 60 days following the funded project to be eligible for the remaining 40 percent of the grant. The Post Event Report will be reviewed by the ECVB to determine how well the project met its goals and for reviewing funding requests in the future. After the Post Event Report is reviewed and approved, the entity will receive the remaining 40 percent of the requested amount.
“We realize there are events that will begin before the five month deadline,” Jarrett said. “We will be flexible on events held in the first five months of 2011, but ask that those organizers pick up and complete their grant applications as soon as possible.”
Contact Jarrett at (580) 616-7362 or mjarrett@enid.org to request a grant application or to find out more information.
