YMCA Day Of Prayer Feb. 12

ENID, OK - The Denny Price Family YMCA has designated Tuesday, February 12 a day of prayer. The event will run from 5:00am thru 10:00pm. This will be the 9th Annual Day of Prayer that is sponsored by the YMCA Christian Emphasis Committee.
-
The purpose of the event is to pray for the Y's mission, for our city, state, country, and for personal concerns and needs. The goal of the event is to have someone in the Y Chapel praying continuously from start to finish. Participants are asked to stop by and pray in 15 minute intervals during times that fit their schedules best.
-
George Williams, who founded the YMCA in 1844, had a simple plan: to pray for those he cared about with the confident expectation that they would become Christians. “We believe that plan is as important today as it was then, and we ask our community to join our members, staff, and Board for a DAY OF PRAYER in our chapel."
-
The community is invited to take part in this inspiring event along with YMCA board members and staff. Simply sign up at the front desk for a specific time or drop by the Y chapel, located near the front desk to the east, and pray when you have the time. Anyone may fill out a prayer request card, available at the front desk, and each need will be read and lifted in prayer during the February 12 DAY OF PRAYER.
-
Prayer slot reservations may also be made by phoning 237-4645, extension 16. The YMCA is located at 415 W. Cherokee.
