Crime Watch Daily To Highlight Holtzclaw Case

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 27, 2017) — Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen is devoting a special in-depth episode to the headline-making case of Daniel Holtzclaw, a former Oklahoma City police officer who was sentenced to 263 years in prison for 18 counts related to sexual assault, including rape. Prosecutors argue that Holtzclaw is a predator who used the power of his badge to prey on poor women of color who likely wouldn’t report their assaults.
-
Holtzclaw’s defense attorneys argue that Holtzclaw did not receive a fair trial. Some of their arguments include: First, the prosecution made what the defense says was a grievous error in their misrepresentation of the DNA found on Holtzclaw’s pants; Second, the jury failed to look at each count against Holtzclaw separately; Third, the circus atmosphere during the trial denied him the right to a fair trial; Fourth, his sentence is excessive and unconstitutional. In this special episode of Crime Watch Daily, famed television host Nancy Grace joins Chris Hansen as a special contributor to dissect the Holtzclaw case.
-
Jenny Holtzclaw told us that Daniel Holtzclaw will be speaking on the show, along with herself, Michelle Malkin and Private Investigator Brian Bates.

For more, tune in to Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen on Friday, April 28 at 4:00pm and 5:00am on Channel 43 KAUT. Here's where and when to see the show.

I feel he is guilty, he was charged with eight rapes, why not all thirteen, is it to be a little easier on him, because he’s a cop?

Michelle Malkin first thought that he was guilty based on media reports, but changed her mind after she investigated this case for months and Michelle Malkin now believes Daniel Ken Holtzclaw is innocent. Sequestered jury were photographed by BLM protesters and chants of ‘give him life’ could be heard outside courtroom. There were demonstrations near the courtroom by BLM and OKC Artists for Justice. While BLM and OKC Artists for Justice have a free speech right to say what they believe, photographing jurors and chanting ‘give him life’ in front of jurors does look like a try to influence jurors.

While judge admonished jurors to ignore this, Michelle Malkin does not think it was enough & based on seeing the videos, it does not seem that admonishing was enough & the jury could’ve been influenced though jurors can deny this.
Regardless of what 1 thinks of Michelle Malkin’s political views, I do not believe Michelle Malkin would plead the case for a convicted rapist&sex abuser unless she believes he’s innocent. Michelle Malkin spent months investigating this case, visiting the scene, interviewing the 2 detectives and Michelle Malkin believes Daniel K. Holtzclaw’s innocent.

The Holtzclaw case is a joke. The whole thing is ridiculous What a miscarriage of justice. That poor guy did not get a fair trial. The sentence is ridiculous. 263 years is insane. I have never heard of any murder case that carries a 263 years sentence. Examples on Crime Watch, young mothers taken from their children and the guy gets 25 to life. No one was murdered or mutilated. The rape allegations were not proven with any evidence. The police interrogations were a joke. It was all out there to see-they were giving false statements, it is all right there. Their descriptions, saying- “Did I say the right thing, is that good enough evidence?”
shows how this guy is being set up. The complaints are coming from people who are so unreliable. He deserves a new trial

How the hell does a man get convicted on Witnesses? I can’t even begin to believe the judge on that case allowed that bullshit. I believe other police were jealous of this you man and they schemed this to get rid of him, it’s sad and pathetic when the piers of our jury fell for this, they are as stupid and careless as the police department, prosecutor and judge!! As f I r Nancy Grace I have never liked her, she is judgemental and has a person presumed guilty before the trial. I hope he gets a retrial and the next judge sees through the set up. My thoughts and b prayers are with him and his family.

I feel Holtzclaw deserves a new trial. The police and prosecution really bungled this case. The miscarriage of justice perpetrated by these entities is also a crime. The prosecution lied many times to the jury and the police coaxed the “victims.” Shame on them all. I am disgusted with the anti white make sentiment in the Country today. It comes from women and blacks. Give it up already.

Daniel deserves a retrial based on the new
Evidence you brought forward on the show.

Nancy Grace is always screaming her way ignoring facts. She needs to bleach her roots as they show on your interview. Can’t stand her.

I believed no one would believe someone like me at the time im glad that these women were brave enough to say something no matter what

They want to say justice was not right, and this pig should get another hearing. But many other people get so call bad justice, so he should live with it, others do.
even if he did one, he’s not above the law get him.

    • Abner 6 July, 2017 at 16:58 Reply

You can be sure that for BLM, OKC Justice Artists and other protesters, as they don’t care if Daniel K. Holtzclaw’s innocent or guilty, their view would be that if Daniel K. Holtzclaw’s innocent-that because in past Black men were imprisoned and sometimes lynched without trial after being accused of raping White women, where it was later found out that the Black men were innocent of rape as they did not touch the women, that Daniel K. Holtzlcaw now knows what it’s like to be in prison for a serious crime that you’re innocent of.

This is bad. If Daniel K. Holtzlcaw is guilty, then yes, he should be in prison. But if Daniel Ken Holtzclaw is innocent & there are reasonable doubts in this case, then Daniel Ken Holtzclaw should be free. Innocent people should not be in jail for things they did not do.

  9. Sheila Earley 28 April, 2017 at 13:59 Reply

I believe Holzslaw deserves a new trial because of the discrepancy in the descriptions of the police officer that molested them.

  10. Marjie 28 April, 2017 at 14:02 Reply

I think Daniel deserves a new trial.. It broke my heart to hear all the lies these women told and to see him breakdown like that really hurt.. As a mother as a wide and I a sister a send a plea to Daniels family do not give up on him.. My gut feeling tells me he is innocent..

The cop shouldn’t be searching a female minor with out another female cop anyway and as far as the DNA in his pants coming from him searching her protacal is to put on latex gloves before touching an assailant so he shouldn’t have her DNA on his hans to begin with. And once there done with one assailant they remove there gloves and discard them. Why would he be touching him self with the same gloved hands he searched the minor with. HE IS GUILTY.ITS AWFUL THAT OUR STREETS AND OUR FAMILY’S ARE NOT SAFE FROM EVEN THE PEOPLE WE HIRE TWO PROTECT US.DO WE EVEN HAVE TO ASK OUR SELVES WHY OUR POLICE ARE BEING TARGETS NOW.THEY BREAK THE LAW WORSE THEN MOST STREET CRIMINALS.

This Infuriates me! Too many INNOCENT non-black men being thrown under the bus! Politics stinks! I have a relative living in Oklahoma City, person of color who says and posted how the police stop and question them. I pray for Daniel Holtzclaw and Family to hold on! Prosecuters used “vaginal” to impress the public and jurors! A “fair” trial should always be done outside of the jurisdiction where Case is Publicized! The second thing is Jurors should have a better understanding of DNA Analysis! It seems that Oklahoma discriminated against Mr. Holtzclaw, as he is Asian! I am appalled as a female of Color! Without 100% proof of the women “planted” to play pawns, how could the jurors Convict an officer who turns his computer off 1 time after work? He works an Extremely stressful job and to do that once, should be cause for a harsh reprimand. I know of convicted child molesters and proven rapists who get 10 years! Someone Needs to do a deep investigation of the DA’s office and do a deep internal review of every detail of this case! I am praying for an appeal for Mr. Holtzclaw!

Yes he deserves a second trial based on the simple fact that we have innocent people in jail. Our justice system is not perfect and unfortunately needs to be over hauled and leaves room for doubt.

2017 and the reality of this story is that at the end of trial there maybe a monetary gain rightfully for the victims. But because of their blackness , they’re victimized again and raped by the judicial system of their economical status. If one white woman was included in as a victim, even if she was a trailer park resident, this conversation would not exist. Even if these women are right, they’re are made to feel like they’re wrong by the system that suppose to be blind to rasicm.

  16. Olivia 29 April, 2017 at 03:04 Reply

Daniel did not get a balanced fair trial. It is very obvious that everyone of the woman that testified lied for the release of their own penalties. Dear God, what sad, horrible woman that they would sell someone else’s’ life and freedom. People in Oklahoma are not the most educated and are easily duped.

  17. mona 30 April, 2017 at 00:14 Reply

I believe he deserves a new trial because of lack of evidence and these women continue to change their stories and couldn’t even describe what he looks like

  18. Bev 1 May, 2017 at 06:02 Reply

I believe that Daniel is guilty. Those women had nothing to gain. Just because they appear to be under privileged, black & unfortunate, they are human and they have rights. He does not deserve a new trial!

    • Abner 6 July, 2017 at 16:12 Reply

I have found is that most people who do not want Daniel K. Holtzclaw to get another trial don’t care if Daniel Ken Holtzclaw’s innocent or guilty. I don’t think BLM and OKC Justice Artists care if Daniel Ken Holtzlclaw’s innocent or guilty. They want him convicted regardless. There are some who have talked about DNA (which could be transfer) but almost all the commenters who do not want Daniel Ken Holtzclaw to get a new trial don’t care if he’s innocent or guilty, they want him convicted regardless.

  19. Keith 1 May, 2017 at 06:44 Reply

He’ll NO! Daniel is as guilty as sin. He Does Not Deserve A New Trial!!! If he were a black man would all of this controversy be going on, No It Would Not!! There are too many accusers, they all cannot be lying. If he violated one, and HE DiD, that was too many!!! He was suppose to up hold the law. But as so many of them think that they are above the law. He is a prime example of Police Brutality! Keep him locked up & throw away the key!!!!!!!

Give cop Daniel Ken Holtzclaw a retrial & televise the trial on Internet for free for all to watch. Same way the 2013 Jodi Ann Arias murder trial was televised on Internet. Do not allow meddlers to go near the jury so as not to interfere such as no protests allowed near the courthouse. By watching the trial on Internet, we can judge the proof and decide instead of relying on reading what we think are ½ truths or ½ facts given by journalists such as Oklahoman’s Adam Cooper Kemp.

Stuart, FL – People need to comply with Police. When I see a video of someone comply with an Officer of the Law and the Officer gets rough or disrespectful then the Officer needs to be disciplined.. I am perfectly fine with what the police officers did in the case with Aranda and completely disappointed that she has been rewarded with $20K for her disrespectful behavior and non-compliance to the Officers. In today’s environment of civilians being out of control with Officers I have a great deal of empathy for Officers trying to do their job. Everyone could have handled the situation more appropriately. My view is Aranda was filled with attitude, resisted arrest and assaulted the officers. By the way, there are no Officers in my immediate family. People need to be accountable for their actions.

I saw and listened to the 2 hours & 14 minutes interview (minus few seconds) on Internet which policeman Daniel Ken Holtzclaw did with the 2 detectives. He cooperates with the 2 detectives, answering their ?s (incl. about anatomy & personal life), signs waivers which allows police to search his house, car and belongings w/o warrant, allows the police to examine his mouth forensics and towards end he gives some of his clothes to them for forensics. He says do the forensics such as DNA and fingerprints.

After watching the video, my conclusion is that either he is innocent because his conduct is consistent with how an innocent person acts or if he’s guilty, then he’s so deluded, haughty & thinks he’s so smart that he won’t get caught. The 2 detectives say that he’s a narcissist and a psychopath in explaining why he is cooperating with them. Now if he is guilty, then you don’t always know a person’s secrets.Media made this into a race case by calling Daniel K. Holtclaw a White cop when he is ½ Japanese. Before I knew his ethnicity, judging from the photo, I thought that he’s White and American Indian mixed & did not think of him as White.

I don’t think BLM and OKC Justice Artists care if Daniel Ken Holtzlclaw’s innocent or guilty. They want him convicted regardless. These are the same people who years earlier, did not care that the Duke Lacrosse players were innocent of rape, they just wanted them convicted, even when the proof showed the players were innocent. They continued to side with Crystal Gail Mangum (the woman who accused them) even after it’s proven the men were innocent because they didn’t care & yes there were many Whites who did not care that the Duke players were innocent.

  22. Abner 6 July, 2017 at 17:17 Reply

out of the 13 women who accused (I saw their pictures), I wouldn’t want them. Even with the pretty woman Shardayreon Reqwantae Hill, I wouldn’t want her because she has damaged herself from drugs and her personality of victimizing others. Seeing the women’s pictures, I wouldn’t want them as many to most of them have damaged themselves from drugs, some of them are womenopausal (old crones). Most men don’t want to have sex with a woman who damages themselves from drugs.

I also wouldn’t want a woman who is a womenopausal old crone, though menopause is normal. I have no interest in any of these women. I want a woman who takes care of herself and who does not use drugs. Once a woman becomes menopausal or womenopausal as I call it, it’s best for the man to find a younger woman.

I know some people are offended by me saying this, but there are more things a woman can do to cause a man to lose interest in her vs. incr. interest in her. A drug junky would not be a woman who most men would want. Most rapists and sex abusers would not want a woman who has damaged herself from drugs because she is not attractive. Rapists do discriminate on who their victims. Most rapists and sex abusers do not want a woman who is menopausal or womenopausal. Most rapists and sex abusers want a woman who womenstruates or menstruates-women in their 20s and 30s. Yes-it’s that important for most rapists and sex abusers that a woman still menstruates or womenstruates.

Rapists mainly target young women. while rapists can attack women of all ages, most rapists go after women who are girls to 35 years old.75% of women who are raped are under 30 years old, 17 to 20% of women raped are in their 30s & 5 to 8% of women rape victims being 40 or older with most in this group in their 40s. Menopausal or womenopausal women, those 50 & older are 1 to 2% of rape victims. After 40, the woman’s chances of getting raped starts going down significantly. If a man robs a 45 year old woman, he’ll take her money. But if the same man robs a 25 year old woman, then he is more likely to commit rape in addition to robbery. This is true in wars. Soldiers who win a war steal, loot & rape young women.

Men rape young women because the woman has something which the man wants & that is sex-which he takes by force or by threatening force. sex has alot to do with rape just as money has alot to do with robbery, only that there can be added motives along with sex and money. Any1 who says that rapists don’t do it for sexual motives is talking rubbish. 84% of rapists say that sex is a main motive.

It’s sad to read all of your replies, the common thread is that most people are picking only one “fact” and saying he is guilty. Remember the overall key facts here, all of the “victims” were found by Police except one, I am an ex-police officer retired, that lesbian female detective is a horrid person, I have worked with numerous angry crappy lesbian females that couldn’t solve a crime that occurred right in front of them. They hate all men and persume we are all guilty of everything we are accused of. She says things like I was 100 percent sure of his guilt, real Police detectives are supposed to be impartial, have no personal stance either way. She was supposed to gather the evidence impartially and fairly, she even admits she didn’t do that, she interviewed and tracked down thousands of females he had contact with, yet surprise surprise the only victims were poor black women, and a small handful at that. She should be removed as a detective and all of her cases should be reviewed if biases and unprofessional conduct. None of the victims described him at all none of them came forward at all everyone is using the excuse they were scared, so if they were so scared why come forward after being approached by police, remember they were too scared of repercussions by all police not just one. Why is nobody talking about the civil suit they lodged, which will make everyone of them rich. This case should never have reached a court room let alone have a finding of guilt. The jury found him guilty because of white guilt, the convicted him because they were too scared to find him innocent because they would have been accused of being racist. For instance the female detective going on and on about the DNA damming evidence, minute traces of her DNA on his zipper, If he sexually assaulted her there would have been semen on his pants mixed with her DNA, there wasn’t, people don’t realise how easy it is to pick up minute DNA particles from anywhere, so said he was wearing gloves and should not have transferred the DNA to his zipper, that is ridiculous as a male he could have adjusted himself at anytime, come on guys we always do it it’s a male thing. Nobody in this case the judge the prosecutor the jurors the detectives nobody actually looked at the evidence fairly or impartially, this guy was railroaded 100 percent. By the way I am Australian and have no vested interest in a USA case.
