Enid, Oklahoma In the early 60's, Dalton was a regular performer at the pass-the-hat clubs in New York's Greenwich Village, where she'd gig with the likes of Dino Valenti, Fred Neil, and Bob Dylan. She was often compared to Billie Holiday. But, perhaps because she interpreted other people's songs ("When a Man Loves a Woman", "Katie Cruel") and was a Native American woman, she's been largely forgotten by the public. However, a reissue of her music might set critics straight. The ten tracks were originally recorded by Harvey Brooks (who played with Dylan on Highway 61 Revisited), and masterminded by Michael Lang (who, like, totally signed a young Billy Joel and co-founded Woodstock). Dalton, who sings and plays the twelve-string guitar and banjo, was backed by dudes from the Gaslight and the Cock and Bull (two Greenwich Village clubs), and also Robbie Robertson's the Band.A remastered edition of Karen Dalton's 1971 lost classic In My Own Time, was due out on November 7, 2006 on CD and vinyl. Kyle also used his music as a ministry from the campus back to the churches of the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference as well as on campus, leading worship regularly for chapel services. When Kyle was not busy with his duties as ambassador, he was touring with Nashville recording artist, Ty England. At the age of 17, Kyle played with Bill Monroe, the father of American bluegrass music. Both as student and staff at Oklahoma City University, he toured Africa, North, Central and South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle-East, performing in over 25 countries. His national television appearance in the People's Republic of China reached an audience of over a billion people! He has been featured at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, and given a command performance for the King of Malaysia. His repertoire includes Gypsy Jazz, American bluegrass, classical, gypsy, Irish, jazz, Middle Eastern, swing, and his own compositions. Versatile on many stringed instruments (including bass, guitar, and mandolin), Kyle's first love is the violin...or fiddle. His new album, "One Way" is a collection of some of your favorite hymns, played on solo violin. This is a rare opportunity to hear the sound of a violin played very lyrically on one string as well as in a multiple voice, virtuosic style. And as a special bonus, Kyle's friend, Maya Raviv, plays piano with him on Ave Maria. The whole project was recorded with a small hall reverb and did not undergo any editing or mixing of any kind. For a few years now, Kyle has specialized also in Gypsy swing, and also collaborate with Alfonso on a tour in Oklahoma. Kyle brings a new texture in the Gypsy jazz sound. Due to his achievements on the first two in the series, Marshall was recruited as Co-Producer on FREE WILLY 3: THE RESCUE. In addition to his producing responsibilities, he supervised all post-production and visual effects work on the trilogy. Marshall also brought his considerable post-production experience to such films as ASSASSINS, LIGHTNING JACK, STAR KID, MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE, Billy Crystal’s 61* for HBO, HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen’s big-screen debut, NEW YORK MINUTE. Carlotta Lennox Entrepreneur Enid, Oklahoma It was on one sunny afternoon in July that Carlotta rolled by a park on a pair of rollerblades and noticed that the dogs looked tired and hungry while their owners were drinking bottled water and eating snacks. It was then that she realized how she could give the day back to the dogs. Seven years later, the first Hey Buddy pet vending machine was established in Bark Park Central, an off-leash dog park in Dallas. Lennox, an Enid High graduate, stocked the machine with dog treats, tennis balls, dog shirts, dog glasses--basically everything a dog might need for a walk in the park. And with its shingled roof and slated facade, the doghouse-inspired vending machine was hard to miss--which meant pets and their owners weren't the only ones begging Lennox for more. It's a really great branding mechanism for corporations looking for an extra niche for items they want to sell outside their stores and many large companies have already contacted Carlotta about climbing on board. Carlotta is also in a great position due to Hey Buddy's unique patent, which gives her company exclusive rights to distribute pet products in vending machines across the U.S., which will allow Carlotta to take full advantage of the niche market she's created. Hey Buddy is already in negotiations with major corporations interested in branding the machines for dog parks throughout the U.S., and sales are expected to reach $100,000 in 2007. Curtis D.
