Candyce Lynette Severe

Candyce Lynette Severe was born on September 6, 1957 in Alva, OK to Garnett and Reola Severe. Candyce Passed away on February 20, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones after battling a tough fight with cancer. Candyce was raised in Waynoka with her 6 sisters.

In February 1979 she married Alan York and they had one daughter Mary Amanda York. They were later divorced. Candyce spent most of her life in Oklahoma, however she had a deep love for Galveston and Houston, Texas, where she spent many years enjoying the beach and her friends at the 2nd chance saloon. Candyce was a friend to, and loved by, everyone she met. A favorite past time was going fishing. She would take any opportunity to be on the water and have a fishing pole in her hand. Candyce was always the life of the party. She loved watching her BOOMER SOONERS, especially when they beat the Longhorns. Candyce loved her grandkids so much. She enjoyed traveling with them, watching their sports activities, and cooking and baking with them. Being their Granny was the greatest treasure of her life. Candyce was the youngest of 7 girls, thus Always being the 'baby' Of the family. Candyce's sisters catered to her every need and she made sure to take full advantage. She thought she was the lucky one, but they know they are the lucky ones.

Candyce is survived by her daughter Amanda Jensen and her husband Nathan along with her 5 grand babies, Treyce, Taeya, Makiya, Layla, Dylan Her Loving sisters Beverly Morris, her husband Earl Shirley Enloe, her husband Phil Billie smith, her husband Curt Debbie Milledge, her sister and best friend as well as so many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many many friends she's made along the way. Candyce is proceeded in death by Her parents and 2 sisters, Theta Werner and Janice Curtis. A graveside memorial will be held at Avard Cemetery on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 3pm. We welcome friends to attend. Cremation arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
