Candice Lochner

The services celebrating the life of Candice I. Jones Lochner, 68, of Enid, will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday April 27, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Enid, with the Pastor Wade Burleson officiating. Visitation for Candice will be at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, 2018 from 5-7p.m Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born December 18, 1949 to Ray I. Jones and Laveta Louise Smith Jones in Oklahoma City, OK, and passed from this life on April 24, 2018 at her home, in Enid, OK.

In 1957, she moved to Cherokee, OK with her family who later moved to Enid in 1962. She graduated from Enid High School in 1968. She then attended The University of Oklahoma graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She returned to Enid, and taught school at Adams Elementary until 1976. She then worked for Ray I. Jones Trucking Co. with her family until 1986. She worked for J.A. Benge Co. until 1993 when she became medically unable. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading and loved working in the yard and flower garden and she loved animals, especially hers.

She is survived by her husband Bill Lochner of the home; her daughter Demmie Lochner (companion Daniel Cerny) of Enid, sons Jeff (Susie) Lochner of Oklahoma City and Billy Lochner of Norman; sister Sandra Jones, of Enid; niece Angela (Mark) Miller of Enid and nephew Kinsey (Cass) Holton of Summerville, S.C.; granddaughter Nicole Lochner of Norman; grandson, Jake Lochner, of Ardmore, great granddaughter Shay Lochner of Norman; great-nieces and nephews Hensley and Holton Miller of Enid and Audrey, Taylor and Dylan Holton of Summerville, S.C..

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray I. and Laveta Jones.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Donate Life America, Enid SPCA or Hospice Circle of Love with the funeral home acting as custodian.
