The Pastry Nook bakery & bistro offers fresh made salads, soups and quiche along with the best quality, home-made baked goods and treats. They are also the home of The Queen of Cake (and all other sweets). Located in the food court where Katy's Pantry was located.

Trivia Night at Callahan's Comes to an End

With the help and support of the Fleming Brothers (Brett & Michael) of Callahan's Bar and Grill, on March 18, 2010, Bill and Candace Hazlett started Trivia Night Live! in Enid, Oklahoma. Averaging 48+ shows per year, Bill and Candace turned their venue at Callahan's into Enid's, 'Go To' place, for Thursday night entertainment. Over the past years Candace has created theme nights for Party environments like Birthdays, Holidays and even Fundraisers such as collecting School Supplies for Enid Public Schools and collecting Blankets, warm socks and coffee to donate to needy local agencies. 8 years and 8 months and over 9200 questions later, their FANTASTICAL RUN has reached its end. On November 8th & 15th, 2018 they will host their 469th & 470th! and final shows at Callahan's. Come out for these final two games and show your support of this Team!

BKD Hires Accounting Associates

Jon Redelsperger, partner with BKD CPAs & Advisors, is pleased to announce the addition of Kimberly Crawford and Jesus Gaspar as associates with BKD’s local accounting outsourcing services (AOS) team.

Crawford, an IRS enrolled agent in the state of Oklahoma, has a dozen years’ public accounting experience. She specializes in tax preparation, financial statement analysis, general ledger accounting and QuickBooks accounting and payroll software.

Gaspar, a bilingual professional, has spent the last four years in two simultaneous roles with a university foundation, namely as accountant responsible for annuities transaction analysis, charitable trusts transaction analysis, contribution and pledge receivable analysis, fund balance transfers, journal entry preparation and posting, monthly depreciation adjusting entries, expense-to-budget reports and annual audit preparation. He is a 2014 graduate of Fort Hays State University, Kansas, with a B.S. degree in accounting and a 2010 graduate of Dodge City Community College, Kansas, with an A.A. degree.

Groendyke Earns Top Honors in ATA Safety Contest

Groendyke Transport took home first place in the Tank Truck/Line-haul Division, Over 10 Million Miles Category of the American Trucking Associations (ATA) National Truck Safety Contest. ATA presented company representatives with the award during a banquet here Tuesday night.

With headquarters in Enid, Okla., Groendyke is one of the nation’s largest tank truck carriers with 30 locations and about 950 drivers across the U.S. The company has an unmatched reputation for safety in the tank truck industry, including its standing as the only seven-time National Tank Truck Carriers North American Safety Champion for the nation’s best overall safety record and program. Groendyke last received the award in 2017 for safety efforts in 2016.
