Public Library of Enid News for April
The Public Library of Enid & Garfield County will be closed all day on Monday, April 5, 2010, for staff in-service training.
Items can be returned to the library during closed hours in the Book Drop, located in the alley between the Library and the Post Office on the north side of the building. There are no overdue fines, so library items can also be returned without penalty when the library reopens on Tuesday.
April is a busy month at the Public Library of Enid & Garfield County. They are hosting an exhibit from the National Library of Medicine entitled Harry Potter's World: Renaissance Science, Magic, and Medicine. They have events planned all month long. Here are some highlights:
April 2 - FIRST FRIDAY! Stop in and see the exhibit. Take a library tour with a Marauder's Map and collect trading cards.
April 6 -Potions with Mrs. Snape. A fun way to experience the science of solutions and chemical reactions. Elementary/Teen.
April 13 -Harry Potter Scene It - Test your Harry Potter movie trivia against the competition. We'll also be making and eating chocolate dipped magic wands! Elementary/Teen.
April 20 -Charms with Mrs. Snape - She's back. Join her class to learn to move things without touching them! Elementary/Teen.
April 26 - BOOK DISCUSSION: Grown Ups Love Harry Potter Too! Adults.
April 27 - Harry Potter CLUE! Games. Elementary/Teen.
