Enid To Be Included in Ghost Lab

(Los Angeles, Calif.) - A door slammed shut but there was no wind. A voice was heard but no one was around. A stranger appeared in the distance but was gone in seconds. Everyone has a ghost story. But imagine having hundreds of ghost stories, many of them documented, including one of the most phenomenal events ever recorded - an actual ghost regiment. Meet Brad and Barry Klinge, two Texas brothers who founded Everyday Paranormal, an investigation team that has set a new standard in research. The Klinges and their team of investigators are featured in the all-new 13-part series GHOST LAB, to premiere this fall on Discovery Channel.

The Klinge brothers aren't satisfied with merely going into a home with the hopes of catching a voice on tape. They want to test real scientific theories. With the help of the latest technology, a decked-out travelling "ghost lab" and one of the world's foremost specialists in science measurements, they test cutting-edge theories. Is there more ghost activity around water? Are spirits attached to specific items or locations? The Klinge brothers are on a mission to find out. And they aren't testing these theories in ordinary places. Instead, they are tackling some of America's most haunted locations - including Tombstone, Ariz., home to some of the most violent deaths in history and a hotbed of activity, and the Shreveport Auditorium, where Elvis got his start and may have not left the building.

The brothers have been in Enid searching for the ghost of John Wilkes Booth in the Garfield Furniture building. According to Enid lore, a man claiming to be Booth died in the building which at one time was the Grand Avenue Hotel.

David E. George, a house painter, died on Jan. 13, 1903, after drinking a bottle of poison. Before his death he claimed that he was really John Wilkes Booth. For years his mummified body was displayed at amusement parks and carnival sideshows in many states, before it eventually disappeared.

The Klinges travel in a 24-foot car hauler full of enough equipment to snare any ghost. They are able to analyze data on site in real-time, helping them investigate known paranormal hot spots.

The new 13-part "Ghost Lab" will premiere 9 p.m. Oct. 6 on Discovery Channel.

GHOST LAB is produced for Discovery Channel by Go Go Lucky Entertainment, where Gary Auerbach is the executive producer, with Paper Route Productions, where Alan LaGarde is the executive producer. For Discovery Channel, Tim Pastore is executive producer.

The Felt Bird Coming To Enid!!??

It's a new business called The Felt Bird which will carry accessories, home furnishings and gift items. They are a fun boutique that specializes in handmade and original items!! And they are located downtown and plan to open September 4th!

The Felt Bird is a soon to be retail shop in downtown Enid, Oklahoma started by Estela Romanos and Riley Jantzen (the best of friends and a long time awesome couple).

Estela has been in the handmade scene for a number of years now and has crafts sold in other awesome shops all over the great state of Oklahoma with her brand Stelabird. With a degree in merchandising from Oklahoma State University and 10 years experience in the retail world she has the knowledge and experience to make sure we have what you WANT and make you happy you got it from US. She's awesome, creative and the main brain behind THE FELT BIRD.

Riley on the other hand has been in the slightly less useful but just as awesome Oklahoma indie music scene for a number of years now. Playing hundreds of shows as the lead singer of Mayola. Clouds Over Enid Oklahoma

(click photo for a larger view)

I was out and about this morning as the skies over Enid were just beginning to clear. Half of the sky was dark and gray with rain falling. The other half of the sky was beginning to clear with a rich blue colored background.

I noticed one cloud right above me and looking at it you would swear the sun was hiding right inside cloud. The sun was actually on the other side of the sky but the reflection was catching this one cloud, lighting it up like some kind of special movie effect.

I snapped a quick shot with my iPhone because I could tell it was already beginning to fade. Within about 30 seconds it was gone. Just one of those cool moments when you say, gosh I wish I had a camera.
