H. H. Champlin Mansion
The Champlin Mansion has been on the market since July 2009 and there is now a site plan notice to possibly turn the home into a Bed & Breakfast.
We have purchased a book called Building for a Rugged Individualist written and signed by Henry B. Bass. The book accounts his memories of living in Enid, working with H. H. Champlin and building the Champlin Mansion. The book contains many photos of the building of the home, the interior and exterior. There are also many of photos of Enid in the early years.
We will be posting some of these photos and great stories from the book.

A B&B? Where do I make my reservations?
I have that book. Mrs. Bass gave a copy of the book to my mom, many years ago. I didn't realize until later that "Heini" has signed it, following an inscription. It's a great read about the early days of Enid and the oil business.
