Go Fly A Kite!
This Thursday Enid will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for number of kites flown simultaneously. The attempt will take place behind Autry Technology Center, 1201 W. Willow.
Enid had originally thought they would only need to break the record set last year in Germany with 967 kites. However, on July 30 children from the Gaza Strip were bale to get more than 3,700 kites in the air at the same time. A newer world record.
Enid still plans on trying to break the first world record and if possible will try to better the 3,700 kite mark.
The kite event will begin at 1 p.m. Kites may be purchased for $5 before the event or people may bring their own. Get out and help Enid set the record!
