Mansions For Sale!
Enid is suddenly in need of a few high rollers. Two mansions in the Indian Hills area of town have found themselves on the market. Both homes are listed on the Garfield County National Register of Historic Places.
The H.H Champlin mansion is on the market for the first time. The home has been owned by family members since it was built in 1939. This is the largest home in Enid.
The Lamerton House is also currently on the market.
So, if you have a little bit of cash stowed away and you're looking to upgrade, now is the time to buy! These historic homes do not appear on the market very often. Good luck!

Anyone know why the Champlin's would sell a home that has been in the family for so many years?
The Buzz on the street is that the kids are all gone and the house is to big for two people. Lots of cleaning and upkeep. Plus Joel and Kelly may want to be closer to their kids.
It will be interesting to see who will buy either of these mansions. Keep us posted?
I cannot find a link for it anywhere on realtor.com or enidsbest.com Do you have one?
Looks like Patty does not have it online. Her site is here...

Contact her for more info. I heard it was going for around 2 million.
Oh, that is small change. It looks like a nice mansion, but it is too close to the side road, garriott. That is the big problem that I see. If you are going to spend 2 million, you probably do not want it right next to the main street. We shall see though.
The Champlin house is set back far enough from the highway. So you may not hear that much noise.
And Mrs. Walker (she was a teacher at Enid High) used to live in the Lamberton house. It also had a pool that they took out.
I thought I knew Enid. Where is the Lamerton house?
The Lamerton house is on Indian Drive where the road splits into York and Indian. The front is on Indian and the backyard is on York. It's where the weird triangle is.
Brent Price lived in the Lamerton house and sold it to Kyle Brownlee who is now selling it.
I remember when the Walkers lived there.
Ah, Mrs. Walker!
What a great person.
10 years or so ago, I was talking with a photographer from Houston, he asked me where I was from, when I said "Enid", he said, " WOW, I was there back in the early 70's, stopped at at this head shop, I was was in a VW bus with Randy Quaid, and this lady let us crash, what was the name of that place?". And I mentioned the "Magic Garden". I do think it is a true story. Anyway, Mrs. Walker, what a great person!
