Waverley Parlor Tour
John Criner, Enid's Mayor, proclaimed the month of May as Enid Historic Preservation Month. You will have an opportunity to view some historic homes and a church on Sunday, May 17 from 2-4 p.m. when Waverley Historic District hosts its annual parlor.
Included in the tour is the McCristy-Knox Mansion at 1323 W Broadway, the Family Faith Fellowship Church at 1302 W Broadway, a Prairie Style home at 1202 W Broadway, an Italian Renaissance style home at 1402 W Maine and a Bungalow/Craftsman style home at 1610 W Oklahoma.
Tickets will be sold at the door ($10). Proceeds go to repair sidewalks in the district. Music in the garden at 1402 W Maine will be provided by Jim Nay, at 1610 W Oklahoma by Greg Stong, and on the porch at 1323 W Broadway by The Best Kept Secret Barbershop Quartet. Hostesses at each location will provide history of the home or church.
