A View of Enid High School
Here's a 2009 photo of Enid High School for those of you that are now living outside of Enid. All of the windows have been bricked in to make them smaller and new window glass has been installed. The buildings north of Enid High have all been torn down including the Bible Building, that little apartment complex and the other two story homes. Because of that there is a nice view of the school that most likely will not remain long. New medical buildings will soon be built in this space and this great view will be lost. That brick job just totally destorys the old architecture of the school. What Enid really needs is to find some land and build a new high school where a baseball field and football field can both be built.
Why would the school need to build a new baseball stadium when it has access to the nicest amateir stadium in the SW?
The school has absolutely no control of the baseball field. The playing surface is horrible and there are many teams who no longer want to play on it. Yes, the facility is nice, but the playing surface is not.
If the surface is so bad, the school district should offer to take over the maintenance. It is surely less expensive to maintain a present field than to acquire land, build and then maintain a new one.
