You Can Hear The Thunder, But Do You See It?
...Thunder basketball that is. It looks like Enid is getting stiffed on viewing Thunder basketball games. Oklahoma now has a professional sports franchise and Enid won't be seeing any of the action.
With 74,000 Oklahoma customers, Suddenlink has decided not to carry the games. Suddenlink services Stillwater, Enid, Chickasha, Grove, Henryetta, Muskogee, Pauls Valley, Poteau, Purcell, Seminole and Woodward.
Suddenlink does not want to pay an additional fee to the network to carry the game package. The only way they will know that the package is valuable enough to carry is if enough customers call and voice their opinion.
So, if you want to see Thunder basketball in Enid, call Suddenlink and let them know your thoughts. 237-7373.

Thanks Curtis. This has really gotten under my skin. Every other major cable outlet in Oklahoma has found a way to pay the additional fee (without raising prices on their subscribers, BTW), but Suddenlink won't even though they have some of the highest rates for the worst channel selection and customer service around.
When you call they helpfully tell you that they are trying to negotiate a "fair" rate and that you can see 16 games on KSBI. If virtually every other cable company has ponied up, then whatever they are charging seems like it is fair. And so what if we get to see 16 games on another channe, I want to see the 60+ other games they are NOT broadcasting.
I hope the people at the City of Enid that are negotiating Suddenlink's franchise agreement know about the stuff Suddenlink pulls.
It takes a lot work to be worse than Cox, but Suddenlink has managed to be much worse.
