Enid High May Fete 1959?
We were lucky enough to be able to copy these photos for the website. They were in a packet with other photos dated 1959 so we'll assume this is the Enid High May Fete at Government Springs in 1959.
As you can see May Fete was a much bigger deal in the 50's. If you look closely at a few of the photos you will see there once was a fountain along the parade route. Another fact I just discovered is that the May Fete Court used to ride in boats through Government Springs! There is one photo showing the boats cruising towards the bridge. Click for larger photos.
Does any know the history or origins of Enid's annual May Fete parade?

Shaggy-
Though most of the "glory years" of May Fete were before my time I remember it being a big deal. I'm sure you know that the flood of '73 did serious damage to Gov't Springs and it was never the same again.
I graduated with Denise, btw-
