It's Seen Better Days

The building once known as the Grand Saloon and
several other beer bars has certainly seen better
days. The latest wind storms have begun to take a
toll on the vintage building. The building is just
north of Pastimes on South Grand Ave.

What character! What a shame. Someone thought this was one of the first business buildings in Enid. Does anyone know? IT was also used in the movie "Dillinger". Someone should do something about saving it, even as just a building and not trying to use it any more.
I've had a few cold brews in there, and many laughs with good friends! Of course that was many years ago...shortly after the Dillinger Movie was made! When I make it back to Enid again, Pasttimes is a place I'd like to go; I've heard a lot of good things about it. Also, does anyone know if the Hole in the Wall is still in the old Knox Bldg a/k/a OG&E Bldg. I knew the owner Tom passed away, but I thought his wife Linda may still be serving cold beer and great appetizers! Many good times there too!
The Hole in the Wall has closed. Sadly it is now the home to offices for Advance Food Company.
The first beer joint there was named "The Corner Bar" and was sometime in the early 50's I believe
