Evans Express Prescriptions

The pumps are gone and construction is in progress on
transforming the old gas/convenience store on Oakwood
and Randolph into a brand new pharmacy express.
The Evans Pharmacy Express will feature fast prescription
service with drive up service and delivery. The new pharmacy
is an extension of Evans located on west Willow. The new
location should be open by the end of August.
Evans has been in the pharmacy business since 1897 and
is one of the oldest businesses in town. The company is
still family owned and locally operated.

This is not what Enid needs. Another pharmacy???? They are building another Walgreens about 3miles down the road from the other walgreens. Jumbo's is going to put in a pharmacy, now Evans too. We have 4 braums, and 4 sonics. Seems like all Enid is building is chicken wing places and pharmacies. ha.ha.
How about something different then 4 of the same things over and over again. My vote is for a Dairy Queen or a panera bread or something different.
I vote for Panera Bread!!
Dairy Queen tried and didn't make it. Not sure why not?
to Anonymous: Yes Evans does need a drive thru. They are so busy at the store you have quite a wait. For those of us who use Evans, this will be super - to drive thru and not have a wait or have to go back later to pick it up. (with high gas prices going back doubles the cost).
I think it's great that they are going to be there and have a drive thru. This makes it so much easier, especially if you have a sick child and don't want to get them out of the car to get a prescription. Plus this one will be closer to where I live!
+1 on the comment about Dairy Queen already being in Enid once. DQ for some reason has become a small town (Atoka, Okmulgee, etc.) establishment.
Seems location would likely have been an issue with our former DQ. It was in that building complex directly west of Evans Northgate.
As for pharmacies, I'm glad for some other options. The current Walgreens is always so busy it consumes nearly an hour of your life if you choose to wait while they fill a prescription. And the construction at the intersection makes even getting in and out of the crowded parking lot an adventure. If the service level is good at the new Evans, it will definitely be a boon.
