Enid's Esquire Movie Theatre

Do you remember which movies you saw at the Esquire Theatre?
I remember seeing Escape from Witch Mountain, Love Story and
The Apple Dumpling Gang.

Where was this theater located? Looks downtown somewhere but cannot seem to tell where.
Forgot, some people might not remember where it was. The Esquire was located on West Randolph between Independence and Washington on the south side of the street.
It was one business away from Richill's. It is now an indoor soccer arena of sorts. Richill's is now Napoli's.
I saw lots of movies there...Urban Cowboy, Willy Wonka, Aristocats, are a few I remember.
You don't have the space for me to put down all the movies I saw there! I so loved going to the Esquire and the Chief.
My mom had a business right around the the corner from the Esquire. Remember Dan n' Bake on the corner? It is gone now. As a 5 year old I would walk around the corner and see flicks at the Esq. Later when it was the $1 theater we saw a bunch of movies there. One time in HS one of your state representatives unleashed a jar of months in the theater. ;-)
I would go to the "duct tape" Chief from time to time as well.
My fondest memory of the Esquire was my mom taking my sister and I by there after our winter evening swimming lessons to buy pink peanut patties! Plus I had many junior high "dates" to the movies!
I have to echo Rhonda. It was a weekly event growing up to go to the movie. My most vivid memory was going to see Ol'e Yeller. The first movie that made me cry. I also had many "dates" there. WOW! Those were the good old days. Enid native.
I went to school with the kid that burnt it down. HE worked there.
Hey Anonymous,
Was the kid named Walter. Did his last name start with a "G"
It didn't burn down. It is still there.
