Convention Hall - Enid, OK

Enid High sports and other events have been pulled from
Convention Hall recently. There is now talk of closing the
building down or even tearing it down. Any thoughts?

I know it's day has passed, but I so hope they can find a way to rennovate Convention Hall for some use. I have so many fond memories of attending sporting events there -- from being plucked from the crowed during a Globetrotter game when I was 4 to watching Mark Price go up against Wayman Tisdale -- to playing at Tri-State there, to Baccalaureates and so on.(And it is afterall, a movie star having been featured -- although as a prison -- in Dillinger)
I really think this historical building should be saved. What a shame it would be to tear it down. There are so many memories there!!
The Ball Barn! Anyone who had Mr. Garrison for history would hear this nickname for Convention Hall. This, of course, is not to be confused with the Ball Yard, Selby Stadium.
From the comments on EHS graduation at the Chisholm Trail Conf center, perhaps they need to go back to Convention Hall for graduations. I never remember anyone running around with food and even tho climbing those stairs was a little steep, people were polite and could hear there. That would be one good reason to do some refurbishing there.
