Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad
According to KGWA radio reports it looks as though we have two props that have passed and one that has failed.
Proposition 1, dealing with street and intersection construction has failed. This prop generated the most controversy due to the opposition to widening Randolph Street.
Proposition 2, has passed and Enid will be getting it's much needed bridge repairs.
Proposition 3, the plan to continue a 1-cent sales tax passed. Enid can now build a new sewer treatment plant and do other city projects.
Way to go Enid! The polling places looked busy and Enid should be proud that there was a good voter turnout.
Now I just have one request. If you are going to drive 20 mph please drive down Broadway and not Randolph!! PLEASE!

I want to say - I DO NOT want to hear all those "whiners" who constantly complain about the pot holes in the streets. You voted NOT to fix them so lets see how you like it now!!!

oh how I so agree with you grannyann!!! don't be complaining about how the streets are if you voted no!! I wanted the bond to pass. I was just on randolph this morning and it was insane. I kept thinking, man if this was 4 lane this would be soooo much better! unbelievable that some didn't want to better our community.
redkat
They should have taken the widening of Randolph off the table and it would have passed.
Agreed.
