School Bonds Fail
It looks like Enid has decided they did not want want to pay 12 million dollars in higher property taxes in favor of improving Enid Public Schools. Voters leaned toward a yes vote on both bond issues but a 60 percent margin was needed for both to pass.
Both issues failed by very small margins. The weather played a large factor in keeping most voters away from the polling places.
How will Enid improve it's crumbling schools without raising taxes on somebody? School officials are looking for answers. What about a lottery?
