Enid's New Years Resolutions 2008
1. Prevent one more gas station from becoming a used car lot.
2. Lure a Panera Bread to town.
3. Formulate a creative plan to raise money for our local schools through investments, industry and other imaginative means.
4. Inspire every Enid citizen to volunteer at least one hour to a community service.
5. Develop a curriculum for our students that is better than the outdated public school system that will be the envy of the state.
6. Create a Community Partnership for Arts and Culture to showcase the talents of our artists, musicians, actors and writers.
7. Determine a niche industry and draw like minded companies to town which will make Enid the industry hub.
8. Continue to promote health and wellness with safe and updated tennis courts, walking trails, basketball courts, pools and bike routes.
9. Create Community Action Groups for each neighborhood to help police chase away crime and enforce city codes.
10. Track down and find the "City Fathers" and "Good Old Boys" that control the entire town and won't let anything happen without their approval.
