The Hottest PGA Ever!!
If you haven't heard, Oklahoma hosted the 89th PGA Championship this last weekend and officially became the record holder of the hottest major on record. Tulsa was the host city as Tiger Woods continued his dominance in the world of golf.
A few members of the Enid Buzz staff sacrificed their weekend to attend the PGA tournament so that they could report back to the citizens of Enid. If you've never been to a major golf tournament it is quite a spectacle to behold.
The first thing you learn about a golf tournament is that a bunch of folks attend. There's no seating limit so the crowds can grow pretty large. The second thing you'll notice is that it's a marathon sporting event. It doesn't last for two hours and it doesn't last for four hours. It lasts for over ten hours!! And that's ten hours for four days!!
Our staff members quickly learned that there were no phones and no cameras allowed at the tournament. That made it a little tricky trying to gather and report news back to you our loyal followers. But they weren't about to let you down! Our staff was able to acquire several bootleg photographs (below) of the key players at key times during the tournament.
We hope you enjoy the photos and remember the sacrifice they went through, especially the heat, to bring you Buzz coverage of the PGA. Click on a photo for a larger view.
