Summer Chautauqua is in Enid
Summer Chautauqua has arrived in Enid and begins tonight. The theme this year is “100 Years of Oklahoma Heroes.” This summer four characters from Oklahoma’s past will come alive at Humphrey Heritage Village each evening at 7:30 p.m. Additional entertainment by local performers and concessions also will be available beginning at 6:30 each night.
Famous poet and columnist Will Rogers will be portrayed by Doug Watson. Oil pioneer Waite Phillips will be portrayed by William Worley. Playwright Lynn Riggs will be portrayed by John Anderson. Enid’s Gary Gray will portray Oklahoma territorial governor Frank Frantz.
