Cherokee Strip Days
Sept. 14 will begin the Cherokee Strip Celebration festivities with a lunch on the lawn in downtown Enid. A BBQ lunch will be provided on the Garfield County Court House lawn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Indian tacos will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. Eat outside and enjoy the weather!
The annual Cherokee Strip Parade will take place downtown at 10 a.m. on Saturday. There will be a herd of longhorn cattle, horses, old cars, a bicycle contest and the Enid Shrine Club will be out with trains, clown cars, bikes, mini cars, motorcycles and a popcorn wagon.
Around the square you will find booths, concessions, a dunk tank and games for the kids to play. The Crooked Canyon Band will perform from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday on the courthouse lawn.
Also on Saturday will be the 5K Great Land Race beginning at 7:30 a.m.
