The Good Old Days
Remember the good old days when you and three friends would go to the drive-in movie and sneak two of you in the trunk? You would sit and watch those cheesy, cornball B-Movies while trying to hear the bad audio on the huge metal speaker hanging in your window. One of the best parts of the show was walking up to the consession stand trying to see who was making out in the cars around you.
I stopped by the old Enid drive-in near Van Buren today. Yep, it's still standing, but not in the exact shape it once was. Here is how it looks today.
This is the entry view coming in from Van Buren. The entry and exit are still there. The ticket house is long gone.
A view from one of the front rows. The play area in front is well overgrown.
This is where the consession stand once was. There are still a few tiles pieces laying around but not much else.
The tops of each parking row has sprouted a bush or a tree. This is one of the lanes between rows. There are no poles or speakers left to be found.
